A no-bake ball flavored with your alcohol of choice. Substitute rum for bourbon and call them Rum Balls. These should be made at least a week before serving as they only get better with age.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups finely crushed vanilla wafers (about 75)

  • 2 cups powdered sugar

  • 1 cup finely chopped pecans or walnuts (about 4 ounces)

  • 1/4 cup cocoa

  • 1/2 cup bourbon

  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup

  • Powdered or granulated sugar

Directions

  • Mix crushed wafers, powdered sugar, pecans and cocoa. Stir in bourbon and corn syrup. Shape mixture into 1-inch balls. Roll in powdered sugar. Store in a tightly covered container for several days before serving.

My Mom Made these Years ago so I had her recipe and I made these for a Christmas Party at the Last Minute. I used 3/4 cup Bourbon and could only refrigerate for 3 hours beforehand. They were a Monster HIT! First Item on the Buffet to be emptied. I will be fixing more for Friends & Family!

I absolutely got raves. You can use different wafer cookies and change taste w different liquors. I've used frangelica liquor and spiced rum. Both a hit!
