The other day, I had a craving. I wasn’t sure if I wanted oatmeal cookies, or peanut butter ones. I did know I wanted chocolate chips (who wouldn’t?). Then it occured to me that mixing the three together might make for a fantastic way to satisfy my craving. And it did! What a trinity: peanut butter oatmeal and chocolate chips, in a word: Awesome
Christmas Cookies Are for Blogging
Here’s another recipe going back to my childhood, that my grand-mother used to make. She taught me the recipe for this upside down raspberry pudding when I was 7 or 8 years old, and it’s remained a favourite of mine since. Great eaten warm, freshly out of the oven, or out of the fridge for breakfast if you are so enclined!
Carrés aux dattes, or date squares, evoke childhood memories of my grand-mother. She used to make these occasionally. I never knew if I’d get a them as a treat or not when I went to visit my grand-parents. It was delicious to even just imagine the date squares would be waiting for me on arrival.
