Send to a friendPreheat oven to 350F. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add egg and extracts; beat until light and fluffy. Add flour and nuts and beat until just moistened. Cover and chill until firm enough to handle. Shape into 1 inch balls; Place 2 inchs apart on a greased baking sheet. Flatten with a glass dipped in colored sugar. Bake until cookies are set.

Would not make this again.
I made these cookies with unsalted butter and they need salt. So I would suggest using regular butter. Also, the glass stuck to the cookies when I tried to flatten them so I would suggest using a piece of wax paper between the dough and glass, then sprinkle the sugar on them. The recipe does not give a bake time but I baked them for around 10 min. I don't think I will make them again; I took them to my Sons of Norway Christmas party and nobody even tried one.
