Course: Icings, Frostings, and GlazesDifficulty: Easy

This easy, shiny glaze is great for dressing up any cookie. Perfect for glazing donuts and drizzling over a bundt cake, too!

  • 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • 1 tablespoon light corn syrup

  • 3 tablespoons butter

  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Place chocolate chips, butter, and corn syrup in the top of a double boiler of hot (but not boiling) water. Stir until mixture is melted and smooth, then stir in vanilla. Spread over cookies and then top with sprinkles or nuts, if desired, or place in a zip-lock bag and snip off a tiny corner, then drizzle over cookies.
  • Makes enough to glaze about 36 medium-sized cookies, or to drizzle over 3-4 times that many.

My go-to chocolate glaze for many years. Quick and easy and you can use it with anything.

Perfect...easy, and it dries nice and shiny, quite pretty.

This glaze did NOT harden. Too runny. It tasted good though. Will not use again.

This is a quick wonderful glaze for cookies. I added almond extract instead of vanilla, and it was great, hit of cherry with the chocolate. Will make it again.

I love this glaze! It has a spreadable consistency but is thick enough to make a solid glaze, and it has a good chocolate-y flavor without being overpoweringly sweet. I made mine in the microwave and it turned out fine. I used it to glaze some shortbread cookies--delicious!

Excellent consistency! Will definitely use again!!
