Chocolate dough surrounds a hidden Hershey’s kiss.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup softened margarine

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

  • 2/3 cup sugar

  • 1-2/3 cup flour

  • 1/4 cup cocoa

  • 1 bag (9 oz) Hershey’s chocolate kisses

Directions

  • Beat margarine, sugar and vanilla until creamy. In separate bowl, stir together flour and cocoa, blend into other mixture, mixing well. Refrigerate about 1 hour or until dough is easy to handle. Preheat oven to 350 F. Mold scant tablespoon dough around each kiss, covering completely. Shape into balls, bake on cookie sheet 10 or 12 minutes or until set. Cool, then roll in powdered sugar.

Love these, always a good tradition. My favorite cookies!!

These were easy to make, and a big hit. The chocolate dough itself was a little bit bland, but the kiss inside made up for it. They are the best when they are fairly fresh and the kiss is still soft, after a few days they get very hard. If you're making a lot of cookies, make these towards the end so they are fresher when you give them out to people.

Pretty good, rather floury. Next time, i'll increase the sugar and the vanilla. I tried to roll them in the powdered sugar but it made a MESS, then I just dipped the bottom in and then sifted sugar overall. That worked much better.

These cookies were a hit! I thought the chocolate kisses would be to much chocolate so instead I added the hershey kisses that have chocolate and peanut butter. They were so rich and tasty. My kids loved them. They are a new yearly tradition for us.

I thought these would be great but the cookie were not a hit...If I do make them again I might try different kinds of kisses..

These are super easy to make, and a favorite of my family and friends! Instead of using kisses I used butterfingers bells and reeses' mini cups. Also I uses kisses with almonds. The reeses' and butterfingers were the overall crowd pleasers!
