White chocolate with crushed peppermint candies. Great way to use up broken candy canes

Ingredients

  • 1 pound white chocolate, chopped

  • 3/4 cup roughly crushed peppermint candy, divided (do not crush too fine)

  • 1/4 teaspoon peppermint flavoring

Directions

  • Set aside roughly a third of the peppermint candy for the topping. In the top of a couble boiler over hot (not boiling) water, melt white chocolate. Stir in the rest of the crushed candy and the peppermint flavoring. Spread on wax paper. Top with the reserved peppermint candy. Allow to cool. When hard, break into pieces. Makes a little over a pound of candy.
