A chocolate/peanut butter Rice Krispie bar with peanuts* or chocolate chips. A copycat recipe of the classic retro Canadian candy bar.

  • 3/4 cup honey

  • 1 cup peanut butter

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • 1-1/2 cup mini marshmallows

  • 3 cups rice krispies

  • 1 cup salted peanuts* or additional chocolate chips (pictured: chocolate chips)

  • In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt together the honey and peanut butter and bring to a boil. Stir in chocolate chips and marshmallows, stirring until melted and smooth. Add the cereal and peanuts if using. Blend well and remove from heat. Pour into a lightly greased 9×13-inch pan. If using additional chocolate chips instead of peanuts, sprinkle them over the top. Pat firmly with spatula. Let cool slightly and cut into bars before hardening.

  • * To resemble an Eatmore bar, use peanuts and not chocolate chips. For the photo, mini chocolate chips were used. You can, of course, use both!

Would make this again very yummy chewy just like the real eat more bar instead of putting 1 cup of semi sweet chocolate chip I put 1/2 cup of semi sweet chocolate chip and 1/2 cup of unsweetened Chocolate chip ... Yum Yum

I made these for a cookie exchange - very good and will make again. I tried crunchy peanut butter and eliminated the peanuts. Very good!
