Easy and pretty cookies with a crackled finish. Make them in a variety of flavors!

1 box of cake mix (any flavor)
1 (8-ounce) tub of cool whip
1 large egg
powdered sugar(to roll the cookie in)

Pre-heat oven to 350 F. Mix the first 3 ingredients, then drop spoonfuls into the powdered sugar to coat them. Place on a cookie sheet and bake for 12 minutes. Allow to cool before removing from cookie sheet.

Note: Submitted by Stacey, who adds: "Make two batches and add red food coloring to one batch and green food coloring to the other."

Wonderful cookie! So easy and a blessing when there is so much going on around the holiday. Should have doubled the recipe. 5 stars

Very sticky batter. I wasn\'t able to roll them into balls so dropped them on the cookie sheet which meant adjusting time due to size. Good flavor. I used lemon but will try chocolate and yellow cake next time 4 stars

Would make again. Always looking for a quick & easy dessert. Used 2 cups of cool whip, dough was easy to handle. Did not roll in sugar, instead sifted sugar on dough when on cookie sheet. Will add lemon zest next time. Will try chocolate with mini chips next. 5 stars

Just made these with strawberry cake mix over the wknd.Chose the strawberry one first,as that is the first recipe on saw,not too long ago,on Pinterest. Anxious to try the lemon. I put the cookies on cookie sheet covered w/parchment paper..worked very well. Being a chocolate addict, I will surely try that as well. :o) 5 stars
