1 cup butter
1 3-ounce package cream cheese
1 cup sugar
1 egg yolk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon grated orange zest
2 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350 F. Cream together butter, cream cheese and sugar. Beat in egg yolk, vanilla and orange zest. Sift together flour, salt, and cinnamon. Gradually blend flour mixture into butter mixture. Fill cookie press. Form cookies on ungreased cookie sheets. Sprinkle with colored sugar, if desired. Bake 12 to 15 minutes. Remove at once to cooling racks.

Would make this again.
Grew up in New England and started to bake these cookies with my Mom every year for 50+ years. It wouldn't be Christmas without them. These days I tint them green and dunk them in white bark. Sometimes I make them into a sandwich. One of my favorites! 5 stars

Would not make this again.
The dough was very sticky! I tried adding some flour, which helped a little. Our cookies did not look good, but I'll admit they did taste good! :) I will probably try a different Cream Cheese recipe next time. 3 stars

Would make this again.
Light, flavor-filled, wonderful little cookies. Mine were a bit sticky as well, but I live in Georgia and the humidity is constant. So to defeat that I put the mix in the fridge for about 10 minutes and fill the press, then put back what I'm not using. 5 stars
