An updated, tropical take on the traditional hot mulled cider recipe.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups unsweetened pineapple juice

  • 1 12-ounce can apricot nectar

  • 2 cups apple cider

  • 1 cup orange juice

  • 6 inches stick cinnamon, broken

  • 1 teaspoon whole cloves

  • 4 cardamom seeds, crushed

  • additional whole cinnamon sticks, for garnish (optional)

Directions

  • Combine ingredients. Heat to boiling, simmer 15 to 20 minutes. If desired, garnish each mug with a whole cinnamon stick when serving. Serve hot.

  • We have classified this under English cuisine because it was inspired by the traditional English wassail, but this is not the traditional recipe.
