An unlikely fudge recipe that has a lot of fans!

  • 1/2 pound Velveeta cheese

  • 2 pounds powdered sugar

  • 3/4 cup butter

  • 1 tablespoon vanilla

  • 1 cup peanut butter

  • Melt first 3 ingredients together in microwave. Add remaining ingredients. Knead like bread dough until you can no longer see the sugar. Grease a baking pan (9×9-inch or larger or smaller depending on how thick your squares of fudge will be). Roll candy into a similar-sized rectangle with a straight-sided drinking glass. Spread into prepared pan. Refrigerate until set. Cut and enjoy!

I made this for the first time a couple weeks ago. Can't believe how good it turned out. I was leery of cheese in it, but WOW!! Can't taste it, and it came out great. Making it for cookie platters for Christmas.

When my friend came home from her mother-in-law's big social Christmas party in Arkansas with this recipe, I laughed outloud and thought she had lost it...but she insisted that we try it and we did and I have been making it for about 8 years. and I bless the day I found it..OUTSTANDING and NO, not a soul would guess it had cheese in it! Easy, I dump everything in a crock pot and wait till it all melts and pour it in big plastic crawfish tray (or two 9 x 13)but I use 1 lb cheese,1 lb oleo,4 lbs of powdered sugar, nuts and vanilla and it makes 6 lbs of fudge....super~~~

I make this fudge for my father every year, he LOVES it. He says that it is so close to his mother's fudge but he likes this recipe better because it is so creamy. Who would have ever thought that a fudge made with cheese could taste so good!
