Spice up your Halloween or Thanksgiving evenings with this updated Margarita!
Ingredients
cinnamon sugar, for dipping
orange juice, for dipping
2 ounces Cointreau or Triple Sec
1-1/2 ounces fresh lime juice
2 tablespoons honey
2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spices
4 tablespoons pumpkin purée
4 ounces tequila
star anise or cinnamon sticks, for garnish
Directions
- Put the orange juice and the cinnamon sugar into separate small plates suitable for dipping the rim of your margarita glasses. Dip each glass into orange juice and then into cinnamon sugar; set aside.
- Add ice to a cocktail shaker. Pour in the Cointreau, lime juice, honey, spices, pumpkin purée and tequila. Shake until cold.
- Strain mixture into prepared margarita glasses. Garnish as desired.
