Would make this again.
Do not even attempt if you don't have a food processor. The blender didn't work. 1 star

can i change the nuts or pecan with somenthing else..i'm allergic to them..

RESPONSE: You need something to bulk up the recipe in this one, since they are not just a topping, they actually make up much of the bulk of the dough. Coconut, maybe?

I have made a recipe almost exactly like this for many years. They are absolutely fantastic and a family favorite. I think they're best when the vanilla wafers are as fine as possible. I also prefer chopped, toasted walnuts in them versus pecans. I've always rolled mine in regular sugar.

Store them tightly sealed at room temperature, and let them cure for a few days before you eat them. They're heavenly.

My grandmother always made these at Christmas. They do taste better when they sit for a few days. I crunched the waffers so you don't need a food processor. It gives them a little more texture. 5 stars

I have made this recipe every year for 6 years now and my friends and family look forward to 30 more! It's fast, easy, and delicious. 5 stars

These taste great. I found that putting them in the fridge for a couple of days gives them a nice, firm texture. Cover tighly, though, or they will dry out. 5 stars

I made these cookies over 20 years ago to take to my first office potluck. I thought they were a little odd at the time, but everyone raved over them. After making them a couple more times, I was sold, too. I haven't made them in several years, but they're on my list for this Christmas! 5 stars
