Would make this again.
I liked the cookie part. It was tasty. I tried the hard rock candy, and then I tried candy cane. I liked the candy cane better. These were simple to make. 4 stars

The kids had great fun with this recipe from cutting shapes to mashing the lifesavers with a hammer (do this first so you have plenty of colour variety ready). We used the window shapes for our gingerbread house. The mixture was quite wet so we had to add quite a bit more flour and we baked them for a good 10-12 mins (can't quite get to that 1/4 inch with kids!). A well buttered tin foil made it easy to lift the cookies and we left the cookies to cool until the 'glass' was well and truly hardened. They tasted great and make great ornaments. 5 stars

Try lining the cookie sheet with tin foil. You can peel it off the cookies after they have cooled. Makes it much easier. 5 stars

Would not make this again.
This recipe seems easy but is actually very tricky. I had trouble with the melted candy sticking to the cookie sheet and the cookie breaking as I tried to get it off the cookie sheet. Mine didn't turn out pretty at all. I was very disappointed. After my frustration subsides, I might try it again. 2 stars

It's sorta hard to make but it's fun and rewarding. 4 stars
