The classic snowball cookie with a Hershey’s kiss hidden inside.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1-3/4 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup finely chopped pecans

  • 1 (9 oz) package chocolate kisses

  • powdered sugar

Directions

  • Beat together butter, sugar and vanilla until creamy. Add flour gradually until well blended. Stir in pecans. Chill dough about 1 hour. Pre-heat oven to 375 F. Mold about 1 tablespoon of dough around each chocolate kiss, covering candy completely. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet until they just turn golden around the edges, about 10-15 minutes. Let cool slightly before removing from cookie sheet. Cool on wire racks. When completely cool, dust with powdered sugar. Store in airtight container.

We made these cookies fon fun this Christmas and they turned out Delicious!!

Recipe was rather easy for an adult to make, assembling the cookies was a bit difficult for a young child (we improvised and just had him put the kisses on top of the dough). They smell delicious and I am quite sure they will taste so as well! Very tasty - not too sweet, little dry, but very good.

I've made these cookies and they are fabulous. This year I decided to play with the center...the mint truffle and chocolate truffle kisses are also good. I also used liqueur instead of vanilla. Both received rave reviews.

I have made these cookies many times and it is by far the easiest and most delicious cookie ever. My 8 year old daughter makes them by her self with and without the kiss. They can be made from start to finish in less than a half hour. I would recommend this recipe to everyone and anyone!!!

This is my recipe and wanted to say thanks for all the good reviews. And a note: do NOT use the caramel kisses, as they leak out and make a burnt mess on the cookie pan. I would only use solid kisses. This is a pretty standard pecan finger dough. It does NOT need eggs. And if your cookies are dry, you aren't using real butter or you are baking them too long. Hope this helps!

I wanted to make cookies for a bake sale fundraiser in my son's preschool.I didn't know what to make but I found this recipe and baked 2 batches for the first time. I individually wrapped the cookies and put them on the table with all the other baked goods. In 20 minutes, I sold ALL of them! The cookies were a big hit and everyone is asking for the recipe. I highly recommend this recipe.
