Alabama Fudge-Pecan Chewies

Makes about 60

1/4 cup butter or margarine
14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup chopped pecans
60 pecan halves

Pre-heat oven to 350. Combine first 3 ingredients in a heavy saucepan; cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, until chocolate and butter melt. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla, flour, and chopped pecans. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets. Press a pecan half into the center of each cookie. Bake for 7 minutes. (Do not overbake.) Remove cookies to wire racks to cool completely.

Would make this again.
These cookies were a hit! The batter was a little brownie-like, but the end result was fantastic. They got rave reviews on my cookie trays this past holiday. Enjoy! five stars

I have chocolate soup and don't know why? I didn't get anything that resembled dough! I had hoped the instructions were as easy as they looked but it seems I did something wrong somewhere? one star

These are ealy good cookies. They emind me of a pie i make that has mayo and cream cheese in it, kina turns out brownie like, vry rich and moist and delish. These are bite size pieces of heaven. thanksfor this recipe. five stars
