1/2 cup margarine or butter
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
6 ounces almond brickle chips
6 ounces semisweet chocolate morsels
1 cup chopped nuts
Melt margarine in 13-by-9-inch pan in a preheated 350-degree oven (325 degrees for glass pan). Sprinkle crumbs over margarine; pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over crumbs. Top with almond brickle chips, chocolate morsels and chopped nuts; press down firmly. Bake until lightly browned, 20 to 25 minutes. Let cool; chill if desired. Cut into bars. Store, covered, at room temperature.

I made these but I searched 5 supermarkets for the brickle chips and no one seemed to know what they were. In place of the brickle chips I used Toll House Caramel Swirl Choc. Chips. These came out great. It made a 9X13 pan which was gone by the next day.

Yes, this is a great recipe. Crushing the graham cracker crumbs in a Cuisinart helps to keep the bottom crust solid. This recipe has appeared on cans of sweetened condensed milk for many years, under the name "Magic Bars" with shredded coconut added between the morsel layers. Using chocolate, butterscotch and peanut butter chips is a good combo too.

Excellent and easy to make! The grocery store didn't have brickle chips that day so I used crumbled Heath bars. Everyone wanted the recipe at our cookie exchange. I'm making them again today for Christmas and I'm just going to use the Heath Bars because they tasted so good!
