Christmas Fudge


A white fudge with red and green candied cherries. Creamy and festive!

Makes about 64

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/8 tsp salt
2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup red candied cherries, chopped
1/2 cup green candied cherries, chopped

Spray an 8 x 8-inch baking dish with cooking spray. In a large saucepan, bring the sugar, butter, cream and salt to a boil over medium heat, stirring frequently. Let boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and slowly add the powdered sugar and vanilla, stirring until smooth and well combined. Stir in the cherries until evenly distributed. Spoon into baking dish and chill for 1 hour or until firm. Cut into 1-inch squares. Store in an airtight container.

Would make this again.
This is a great recipe! I actually used it as a base because that\'s just how my family bakes. I added bakers cocoa and then crushed peppermint candy canes to the top while it was cooling. Delicious! Rave reviews! I love being able to taste the vanilla with the chocolate! 5 stars

Would make this again.
First time making fudge ever. I followed the recipe exactly except I omitted the cherries and used red and green M&M mini's. It came out excellent! It tastes just like the vanilla fudge I get from the local chocolate shop. 5 stars
