I have been baking many different types of cookies to fill Christmas tins for family and friends. I wanted to get a variety of flavors and colors. These cookies were delicious and soft, they added very nicely to the assortment. I baked them at 350 for 8 minutes, they were just golden around the edges and perfect, another batch I left in for another minute and it changed the smell and texture.

these are just like my mother-inlaw's old favorite ...she always would sprinkle with colored sugars before baking (this is the part my kids enjoy doing) easy and festive for the holidays.

This is a great cookie and fairly easy to make. The black walnuts add a wonderful and different flavor.

These cookies are easy to make. Good flavor. I suggest putting a smear of grease on the pan before baking. I plan on doubling the recipe next time. My son-in-law said they were crisp but a soft cookie.
