This is an excellent recipe. I used the gift jars for Christmas and made a
sample for co-workers before our Christmas break so they would know what they should be. I also made them for our family Christmas dinner. I have since made them for four people who requested them, and I have one order to go. This time, I am sending the recipe along with the "baked goods." I made one change to the recipe. Instead of using oil, I experimented with margarine and butter. However, I had a sample of the ones prepared with oil.

I really enjoy baking cookies. I wanted everyone else in my family to enjoy it to because it seemed I was the only one that would bake them, and being the youngest I didn't have much time.So I found a few recipes for the cookies in a jar. On my spare time I'd put the ingredients into the jar and leave it on the counter. Usually when I came back by someone would be finishing them. These kind are out favorites!! 5 stars

This is a great gift and really easy to make! I made a batch to sample with Ghiradelli chocolate cocoa and they were delicious! I will definitely save this recipe to use again! 5 stars

These brownies are fun to make. I got them for a gift a couple of years ago and they were delicious. So I thought I would make them for my women's group. However, I ran into two very minor problems when preparing to make the mix to give others. I was awful with fractions in school so that 5/8 cup of flour really threw me off for a few minutes. Second, finding mason jars in stores in November is amazingly difficult. They are a seasonal item and most stores don't carry them after September. I finally found them at a hardware store. I was actually prepared to mix all the ingredients together and put them in a pretty bag with the baking instructions (hey it works when I make 9 bean soup mix). In the end, I got all the minor difficulties fixed and my mix is ready to be given out at a holiday party next weekend. 4 stars

Hi, the first time I got Sand Art Brownies was for my companies Cristmas Party, and we had to make the gifts for the Secret Santa game. When it was my turn to get my gift I receved the Sand Art Brownies. I didn't make them for a few days because she made it so pretty I didn't want to open them. Finally I did and they were great. Now, when I have to give a home-made gift I give Sand Art Brownies. 5 stars

Hi!! I love these brownies. I took dinner to a friend who was having surgery. Two weeks later I received a gift bag from her with a Ball jar with the Sand Art Brownies. I made them that night and they're wonderful!!! My girls love them, and the jar was almost too pretty to bake them. I can't wait to get some jars and make a few for my daughter's teacher and some friends at work. 5 stars
