Review Guidelines

All reviews submitted will be approved by our moderators before being added to the site. Here are some tips on how to write a helpful review. Reviews that do not follow the rules below will be deleted.

  1. Only write a review if you have actually made the recipe.
  2. Do not type using ALL CAPS. Check your grammar and spelling before you post. We delete reviews that contain too many errors.
  3. We will only post reviews written in English.
  4. If you didn't like it, please say so in a polite and respectful way. (hint: words like "sucks," "nasty" and "disgusting" are not polite and respectful ways to indicate dislike). This is because readers like you have submitted their recipes, and we don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. Be honest, but in a nice way.
  5. No crude or offensive language.
  6. You must be 18 years of age to post a review. Minors may post reviews with the permission of a parent or guardian, but they must not leave any identifying information such as last name, home town, or e-mail address.
  7. We will delete any review that even remotely appears to be bogus: multiple reviews of the same recipe, the same person reviewing many different recipes all with the same comments, writing conflicting reviews of the same recipe or leaving a 1-word review are all the types of behaviors that will get your review deleted.
  8. We will delete reviews that are incongruous, such as saying it was terrible and giving it 5 stars, or saying it was great and giving it 1 star.
  9. We log your IP address to catch spammers and others abusing the system.
  10. Note: Your review will not show up right away. If accepted, we will add it within 48 hours, sometimes longer during the off-season.

All reviews become the property of Christmas-Cookies.com. We reserve the right to edit posts for spelling, punctuation, grammar, and clarity. Negative reviews will be posted as long as they follow the above guidelines.
