Biscotti

Biscotti are twice-baked cookies of Italian origin. They are generally made by first baking a loaf, then slicing the loaf thinly. The slices are then returned to the oven for a second baking. This makes them very dry and crispy, which is why Christmas biscotti are most often enjoyed while dipping in our favorite holiday coffee, espresso, hot chocolate, or dessert wines. Because they are meant to be dry and are quite tough, these cookies make excellent Christmas gifts to be shipped to loved ones across the country and overseas. Our Christmas biscotti recipes are both traditional Italian recipes, and more modern recipes inspired by today’s popular holiday flavors.
