Christmas-Cookies.com is a hobby run by one woman (me!) with the occasional help of a programmer friend. It started in 1995 as one page in my personal homepage. At that time it was called "Mimi's Christmas Cookie Archive" and you can still find references to it on the Web. In 1996 it got its own domain name, and in 1999 it was converted into a dynamic website run off a database, which contributed to a huge rise in the number of recipes offered. At this writing there are well over 500 recipes available on the site.
I am a professional web designer and I work on this site in my spare time. I learned to bake at my grandmother's knee, and later learned a bit more when I got a part-time job working with the pastry chef at my university's kitchen.
The advertisements you see on the site pay for the cost of running the website. The major costs are bandwidth and a dedicated server.
Christmas-Cookies.com has been mentioned by the press many times in magazines, on radio and TV, and online. Members of the press, click here.
